Matt Marino

Matt Marino, M.A., RPA is a Senior Archaeologist and co-founder of Ardurra’s Cultural Resource Management (CRM) Group. He is a subject matter expert in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and Section 4(f) of the USDOT Act, with specialized experience in cultural resource management for transportation projects. Prior to joining the private sector, Matt was the State Cultural Resource Specialist and a NEPA Project Delivery Coordinator for FDOT, where he managed the department’s statewide cultural resources compliance program.


Matt earned his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Florida and M.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology from Washington State University, and completed a multi-year archaeological research project which explored the relationship between humans and dogs in coastal southwestern British Columbia. When not working, he enjoys playing rugby, bird watching, reading, kayaking, and writing about Florida history.
