FAEP Web POLICY

The Board of Directors of tile Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (FAEP) has established these polices with regard to Internet management for the organization. These polices have been developed to ensure that all Internet activities conducted for and on the behalf of the FAEP are consistent with the Code of Ethics, standing by-laws, and other policies and directives from the Board.

Home Page Policies

The following policies shall be followed and maintained at all FAEP home page sites:

1) The FAEP Secretary shall be responsible for content, postings and editorial review for all such Home Pages. The Secretary or designated individual shall maintain these Pages, and be listed as the Page Host or Manager. The Secretary or designated individual (at a minimum) shall be maintained as the official E-mail response address for these Page sites. The Board of Directors of FAEP maintains the right to set or amend this policy.

2) To maintain the Organization's Code of Ethics and professional standing, commercial advertising on Home Page(s) shall be limited to informational matter and/or electronic links. The FAEP Page host will retain the right to edit, modify, or reject any such advertising. if determined to be in violation of the Code of Ethics, by-laws or other FAEP policies. Furthermore, the Page Host or Board may elect to control the amountt of the advertising as not to distract from the Home Page(s) goals. The rates for advertising is established in Table 1.

3) Non-commercial, governmental, or non-profit advertising and/or electronic links shall be evaluated on a case by case basis by thePage Host

4) From time to time, the Page host may elect to modify format, style or contents of the Home Page(s). Such modifications will not require Board approval.

5) Any changes in the server service, server site or provider will be conducted by the Page I-lost, after being granted Board approval.

6) The Home Page(s) may also be utilized to conduct the general business of the Organization, including but not limited to receiving Director nominations. member surveys, post of position statements, etc. All such uses will be governed by the Organization by-laws.

Other Page Sites

From time to time, it may be in the best interest of the FAEP to promote the organization through the presence on other Pages via electronic links.  Requests from other non-profit organizations, professional associations, and governmental agencies may be approved by the FAEP Secretary. All requests to and from commercial organizations shall be submitted by the Secretary for approval by the Board.
